I am really pleased to be able to tell
you about a fundraising event that LLSC will be holding with all the proceeds
going towards SoLYD.
I hope you will attend and support this event.
On the 25th November 2011 we have
organised an evening of excellent live music at Charlie Browns Wine Bar -
Midland Road, Luton,
with Missing Andy headlining.
For those of you who
may not be aware, five man group Missing Andy are a true British band who have
performed alongside
the Pigeon Detectives and The Wombats at South by Southwest Festival
in Texas, toured with Madness and reached national acclaim
by
finishing Runners-Up on Sky Ones musical talent competition
"Must Be The Music" - judged by Dizzee-Rascal and Sharleen
Spiteri
They have
reached the Top 40 twice, with Sing For The Deaf and The
Way We’re Made (going Top 10 in the Indie Charts.) and on
October 13th
released the album "Generation Silenced" to critical acclaim.
The evening commences
at 8pm, there will be support acts and a DJ to follow going on til late.
Tickets are priced £7
and will go on sale next week at which point I will be able to advise where they
can be purchased from.
More information on
the band can be found at www.missingandy.com
and a couple of their tunes can be seen at:
